Hawana Salalah is located on the Arabian Sea’s beautiful coastline, close to the city of Salalah in the southern Governate of Dhofar, known as the Land of Frankincense. Salalah International Airport is just a 20 minute drive away from the resort with flights arriving from the Emirates, Europe and across the world.
As Oman’s most popular destination, visitors are drawn year round to Hawana Salalah for its unique combination of peaceful desert, glorious beaches and majestic mountains. But perhaps the most stunning natural phenomenon in this region is the Khareef, the monsoon season when wadis fill up, waterfalls are created and the sands spring to life with plants and flowers.

The company behind Hawana Salalah – and Jebel Sifah in the northeast of Oman – is Muriya, the Sultanate’s largest and most diversified private integrated real estate and tourism developer. Muriya reflects the successful partnership between international destination developer Orascom Development Holding (ODH) and the OMRAN Group, established by the government to drive growth through tourism. As well as creating thriving resort communities in Oman, this successful partnership also has a wealth of international experience. ODH has created a number of fully integrated towns and communities in several countries including Egypt, Switzerland, Montenegro, Morocco and the UAE.
